Location Note: Part of the workshop will be conducted outside the shop.

Lace Knitting Class

Level: Intermediate — students must know how to cast on, make yarn overs, and work decreases
Dates: September 15 and September 22 (Tuesdays)
Time: 3:00–5:00 p.m.

Includes: Four hours of instruction using a simple lace pattern
Recommended Materials: DK- or worsted-weight yarn and knitting needles two sizes larger than the yarn label recommends

Sock Knitting Class

Level: Intermediate — students must know how to cast on, bind off, knit, purl, decrease, and knit in the round
Dates: October 10, October 17, and October 24 (Saturdays)
Time: 3:00–5:00 p.m.
Cost: $60
Includes: One skein of worsted-weight yarn
Materials Needed: Students must bring US size 4 knitting needles. Needles may be circular needles measuring at least 32 inches or double-pointed needles.
End Product: One pair of cuff-down knitted house socks

Beginning Spinning Class

Dates: October 15, October 22, and October 29 (Thursdays)
Time: 5:00–7:00 p.m.
Cost: $60
Includes: Six hours of instruction, a miniature breed study, combed-top fleece, and use of the spinning wheels in the shop
Maximum Capacity: 3 students
End Product: Four ounces of 2-ply wool yarn
