2026 Classes and Workshops

     October, Beginning Crochet Class (10/6, 10/13, 10/20, Tuesdays, 5-7pm), cost $60, includes six hours of instruction and one crochet hook and one skein of yarn (student’s choice of color).  Topics include chain stitch, single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet, crocheting in the round, granny squares, etc.  Instructor Floyd Peplinski.

     October, Sock Knitting (Intermediate Class—Students Must Know Casting on, Binding Off, Knit Stitch and Purl Stitch, Decreases and Knitting in the Round (10/10, 10/17, 10/24, Saturdays, 3-5pm), cost $60 includes one skein of worsted weight yarn.  Students must bring their own needles (US size 4, at least 32”circular or double-pointed), end product will be a pair of cuff-down knitted house socks.  Instructor Ann Woolman.

     October, Beginning Spinning Class (10/15, 10/22, 10/29, Thursdays, 5-7pm), cost $60, includes six hours of instruction and miniature breed study, combed-top fleece and the use of spinning wheels in the shop, max capacity 3, end product will be 4 ounces of 2-ply wool yarn.  Instructor Ann Woolman. 

     November, Beginning Tunisian Crochet Class (11/5, 11/12, Thursdays, 2-4pm), cost $40, includes four hours of instruction, crochet hook and yarn.  Topics covered:  basic Tunisian stitches, including:  Tunisian Simple Stitch (TSS), Return Pass (RP), Tunisian Purl Stitch (TPS), Honeycomb Stitch, binding off, etc.  End product will be a holiday coaster.  Instructor Jan O’Donnell.

     November, Beginning Weaving Class (11/5, 11/12, 11/19, Thursdays, 5-7pm), cost $60, includes six hours of instruction and two skeins of #4 cotton yarn (student’s choice of color) and the use of weaving looms in the shop.  Topics covered:  warping, plain weaving, pattern sticks, etc.  Max capacity 3, end product will be two soap-saver bags.  Instructor Ann Woolman.

     December, Beginning Knitting Class (12/1, 12/8, 12/15, Tuesdays, 5-7pm), cost $60, includes six hours of instruction and one set of single pointed knitting needles and one skein of yarn (student’s choice of color).  Topics include casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch and casting off.  Instructor Ann Woolman.
