February — Knitting Workshop: Cast On and Bind Off
Date: 2/3 (Tuesday)

Focus: Learn several cast-on methods (including casting on in the middle of a row and provisional cast-on) and multiple bind-off methods including the three-needle bind-off
Materials Needed: Crochet hook and one extra knitting needle (also available for purchase in the shop)
February — Knitting Workshop: Increase and Decrease
Date: 2/10 (Tuesday)
Time: 5:00–7:00pm
Cost: $25
Focus: Learn multiple ways to increase and decrease, why patterns specify each one, and how to increase/decrease more than one stitch at a time
Preparation Required: Bring a swatch — worsted weight yarn, size 7 or 8 needles, cast on 20 stitches, work four rows in stockinette stitch
February — Knitting Workshop: Mistakes — Find Them and Fix Them
Date: 2/17 (Tuesday)
Time: 5:00–7:00pm
Cost: $25
Focus: Find and fix dropped stitches, mystery extra stitches, knit/purl errors, and other common mistakes
Materials Needed: Size 7 or 8 needles (a swatch with multiple errors will be provided for each student)

Focus: Basic cables, understanding written/charted cable instructions, and bobbles
Preparation Required: Bring a swatch — worsted weight yarn, size 7 or 8 needles, cast on 20 stitches, work four rows in stockinette stitch
Materials Needed: Cable needle or double-pointed needle (available for purchase in the shop)

Dates: 3/5, 3/12, 3/19 (Thursdays)

Collaboration: White Lake Arts Council
Location: Nuveen Center, Whitehall

Includes: Instructor-supplied hand-dyed roving/wool in various colors to create a spring landscape picture (wisteria in bloom), suitable for framing
